Hi all...Just a few notes ..Julie is it ok to give your email to the two kindergarten/preschool teachers who are in the masters program and let them share what they are doing for their Masters exhibition of learning...I think it would be right up your alley...I also have a MI survey that I could add to your list...I am strong believer in goals...I heard some time ago and just read again last night that people who write down their goals achieve 95%more than those who don't...But in basketball I went away from team goals because there were so many things that we couldn't control...however if we had a goal of improvement each time we hit the court then I think individual goals are important...I used goal cards and they handed them in each week..one thing they were going to work hard on...then if each person completed his/her goal we made improvements and the team got better...Gary...you mentioned Glasser and Schools Without Failure...it was the first book I read about school stuff and I was immediately hooked on his philosophy...read everything he has written and even got him to Chetek to spend an afternoon with about 250 teachers...he is an interesting man...His Quality School and Quality School Teacher should be required reading for all teachers...anyway he has proposed a grading system of A and B and not yet...If they don't finish yet leave a blank in the grade book till they finish...of course when I had teachers that did that, I heard "the computers can't adapt to that", "we need the 9 weeks grade for honor roll", "my kid got a not yet and can't play football...just give him a D so he can play"...etc...the tail wags the dog...Julie you asked a question way back when and I don't know if I answered it so if you could pose it again on Chap 11 I'll take a stab at it...thanks
